Salman's Tiger Zinda Hai surpasses Aamir's PK as second highest earner


With domestic collections of Rs338.17 crore nett so far, the Salman film has edged past PK that had bagged Rs337.72 crore nett.

The inevitable has happened as Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) went past Aamir Khan’s PK (2014) to become the second highest earner at the domestic box office. Salman's action thriller made Rs2.60 crore nett in its sixth week to take its domestic total to Rs338.17 crore nett, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com. Aamir's PK had made a domestic business of Rs337.72 crore nett.

Tiger Zinda Hai is made at an estimated budget of Rs200 crore. The film had released across 4,600 screens in India, while PK had released across 3,600 screens. The latter’s estimated budget was much lesser (Rs122 crore).

The Salman film now faces a tough task to topple another Aamir-starrer, Dangal (2016), which made Rs374.53 crore nett in India.
