It looks like the digital revolution is well and seriously in motion. Ravi Kishan becomes the latest actor to join a web-series. The actor is confirmed for the upcoming series, Family, for Ekta Kapoor's ALTBalaji platform. The series will also star Vivek Oberoi in the lead role.
Oberoi was the first to tweet his wishes to Kishan on social media. "Welcome bro @ravikishann to ‘The Family’," he wrote.

Kapoor, too, joined in welcoming the Mukkabaaz actor to the cast.
The series will be the second such major production on Kapoor's ALTBalaji channel. They recently launched, Haq Se, a series with Rajeev Khandelwal and Surveen Chawla on 2 February. The series was directed by Ken Ghosh.
This was followed by The Test Case, starring Nimrat Kaur, Atul Kulkarni, Juhi Chawla, Akshay Oberoi and Rahul Dev in the lead roles. The series is a fictional tale based on the first female commando officer in the Indian army.
The new series, tentatively titled Family, will revolve around the story of the Mumbai mafia and their hunt for land in the city. Oberoi is reportedly playing a character titled Sharad Juvatkar. The actor had earlier debuted in his first web-series, Inside Edge, last year to great success.
With Kishan joining the cast, the number of mainstream actors on digital platforms is only increasing.
