Even as rumours swirl about who Alia Bhatt might be spending her Valentine's Day with, the actress has announced her schedule for the next year. Bhatt shared the first look and the release date of her upcoming Gully Boy on Twitter.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film will see Bhatt sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh for the first time. Based on the life of street rappers like DeVine and Naezy, the film will be released on 14 February 2019.

The first look from the film features a hijab-clad Bhatt and a hooded Singh staring into the horizon. From the look, it is possible that the story will revolve around a cross-cultural love story.

Singh has been recording songs with rappers in order to prepare for his role. The actor will also be rapping the verses for Zoya Akhtar's film.

In addition to Singh and Bhatt, the film has an interesting star cast including Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Varma, Parmeet Sethi, and Ali Asghar.
