It seems the actor is already liking the environment and is getting good vibes from the makers and the crew.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Batti Gul Meter Meter Chalu also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in lead roles.

A few reports claim that the film is based on the life of the notorious electricity thief Loha Singh from Kanpur. A documentary film on him, titled Katiyabaaz, was released in 2014, and received acclaim in the festival circuit. However, speaking to Cinestaan.com earlier, the director had denied his film had anything to do with Singh.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is slated to be released on 31 Augsut, 2018.
