Shefali Shah, Neeraj Kabi's Once Again to hit the big screens on 8 December

The love story, written and directed by Kanwal Sethi, was earlier released on Netflix on 1 September.

After premiering on Netflix, the love story Once Again is heading for a limited theatrical release in the metros on 8 December. Starring Shefali Shah and Neeraj Kabi, the film will be shown through Vkaao, a joint venture of PVR and Book-My-Show for movies on demand.

The film's cast will be present for a special screening on 8 December in Mumbai to launch the release. Written and directed by Kanwal Sethi, the film explores the relationship between a widow, Tara (Shah), and a popular actor Amar (Kabi). Tara runs a restaurant and home-cooked meals delivery business, and Amar is one of her customers. They end up talking and meeting in real life.

Once Again was released directly on Netflix on 1 September and a popular response to the love story has prompted the makers to release it theatrically.  

Sethi, excited about the film's theatrical release, said in a press release, "Once Again is a lyrical ode to the fundamental and basic human emotions including love. Besides focusing on aspects such as loneliness in the urban cities, it depicts a story that resonates with everyone. This has reflected through the responses received by the film so far. I am extremely happy about the film’s release through Vkaao and positive that theatrical audiences will also identify and relate with the film."

Lead actress Shefali Shah is delighted that the film is being made available for viewers on the big screen. She urged audiences to watch it in theatres, and said, "The film has many nuances which are so delicate that they’re meant to be seen on a big screen to soak in all the flavours."
The Indo-German film is produced by Crawling Angel Films, Jar Pictures, Neufilm in collaboration with ZDF/ARTE. It is presented by Sanjay Gulati and Neeraj Pandey. Once Again's cast also includes Rasika Dugal, Priyanshu Painyuli, Bhagwan Tiwari, and Bidita Bag.
