KGF song 'Gali Gali': Mouni Roy and Neha Kakkar are the highlight of this remix

This time composer Tanishk Bagchi has recreated the 'Gali Gali Mein Phirta Hai' song from Tridev (1989), yet another song remix that seems slated to make it to the dance floor.

Yet another old Hindi film song has been remixed for an upcoming film's dance number. This time it's for the Hindi version of the Kannada film KGF: Chapter 1, starring Yash and Srinidhi Shetty, which is being released in five languages. The Hindi version is being distributed by Excel Entertainment and AA Films.

Composer Tanishk Bagchi, who has created some of the more successful remixed versions of songs like 'Humma Humma', 'Tamma Tamma Loge', 'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast' and 'Socha Hai', takes up Viju Shah's composition, 'Gali Gali Mein' from Tridev (1989) this time around.

The inherent melody of the original song is easy on the ears and quick to like. So Bagchi maintains the flavour of the original by keeping the catch lines and also the interlude which is repeated through the song, but changes the mukhda, or opening, by adding extra lines before the 'Gali gali mein' part and the stanzas, to make it more contemporary. And singer Neha Kakkar adds lots of zing to the new version.

Bagchi is usually smart when it comes to recreating old dance songs, but in this one, unfortunately for him, it is only the original portions that continue to appeal to the audience.

The song features Mouni Roy, who exudes tons of sex appeal and pulls off pelvic thrusts and ample leg show with grace.

This new 'Gali Gali' is fun and bound to become the next dance floor hit. But it will only be because of the nostalgia factor and the melody of the original composition.

So, are we getting tired of remixes playing on nostalgia? Is there still hope left for those waiting for new original dance hits?

Watch the remix and the original songs below.

KGF: Chapter 1 is scheduled to be released on 21 December 2018, along with Shah Rukh Khan's Zero.
