Swara Bhasker to star as a police officer in Eros Now web-series Flesh


The series, directed by Danish Aslam, is currently being filmed and is due to be aired early next year.

After starring in two web-series titled It's Not That Simple and Rasbhari, actress Swara Bhasker is added a third to her resume.

Swara Bhasker will play a tough police officer in the Eros Now original series titled Flesh, which will explore the murky underworld of human trafficking.

In the 2016 web-series It's Not That Simple, Swara Bhasker played an urban housewife Meera, while in Rasbhari, she played Shanoo, an English teacher from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.

Flesh, which also stars Akshay Oberoi, Vidya Malvade, Kavin Dave and Yudhishtir Urs, is currently under production and is due to be aired in early 2019, according to a report by Variety.com. The web-series has been written by Andhadhun (2018) screenwriter Pooja Ladha Surti.

Eros Now has already released the shows Smoke and Side Hero. The digital streaming platform plans to release 100 original digital shows and invest Rs355 crore to Rs497 crore ($50-70 million) for them over the next 18 months.

Ridhima Lulla, chief content officer, told Variety.com, "We want the consumers’ digital experience to be defined by creating strong, extraordinary and unforgettable content. Flesh is a flagship Eros Now show that promises to have the all the gripping elements to hook audiences."
