For Saif Ali Khan’s next, Hunter, the actor has undergone a complete makeover for his character. In fact, the actor seems to channelling a rather famous pirate Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, for his role in the Navdeep Singh film.

It is currently filming in Mumbai at Filmistan Studios. Earlier this year, the cast and crew were in Rajasthan filming on location, but for this schedule they have recreated Rajasthan on set in Mumbai.

In the leaked photographs from the set, the actor can be seen in long dreadlocks with rusted chains around his wrists. The period clothes — white jodhpurs and red military jacket — are dirty and scuffed. Even his pointed black shoes bear dirt marks.

Khan's long beard and eye make up also points to similarities to Depp's Jack Sparrow. The Hollywood actor played the character in five films from the Pirates Of The Caribbean series earning an Oscar nomination for his portrayal in the first film, The Curse Of The Black Pearl (2003).

Reportedly, Khan's character in the film is that of a Naga Sadhu warrior out for revenge. Hunter also stars Zoya Hussain and Manav Vij. This is director Singh's third feature after Manorama Six Feet Under (2007) and NH10 (2015).
