At the success party for his recently released film Mulk, director Anubhav Sinha announced that the film's script would be published as a book.

While the film has not enjoyed much box office success, collecting about Rs11.30 crore nett in first week, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com, it has been accepted well and has received positive reviews.

The success party, held at a sports club in Mumbai last night (10 August), saw the director in attendance, alongwith the cast members Rishi Kapoor and Manoj Pahwa.

Speaking to us for a brief moment, Sinha said, “We would like to thank the audience for the love they have shown to us. Mulk is perhaps the first film to be published into a book after its release. It is being published by Raj Kamal Publications.”

When asked if the book would have details not shown in the film, Sinha said, "No, it will have the complete script. What you have seen in the movie is what will be published in the book."

Kapoor was seen enjoying the party.

Pahwa, who is known for his comic roles, is seen in an intense avatar in Mulk. "I’ll give the entire credit to the writer and director Anubhav Sinha, and the team. As an actor, I’m the same as I was 25 years ago. Sinha felt that this was a different character and he could get an actor like me to do this, so the credit goes to him. No one ever offered me such an emotional role. It was challenging but I’m glad the people have liked it.”

Last year, the Harvard University Press brought out a book, Bollywood, Brotherhood And The Nation, on Manmohan Desai's classic Amar Akbar Anthony (1977).
