Jahnvi Kapoor not signed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a film, confirms source

Reports suggested that Jahnvi and Bhansali are soon to collaborate on a film after she was seen outside his office, but she was on a visit to her friend Sharmin Sehgal, who lives in the same building.

Once an artiste is spotted outside a producer-director's office, soon reports emerge speculating about a collaboration between the two.

Last Friday (30 March), Janhvi Kapoor was spotted outside Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office with her sister, Khushi, in Mumbai. This immediately triggered tales that the young actress might be seen in the director's next film.

However, these rumours were soon put to rest when it was made clear that the sisters were there to visit their friend and Bhansali's niece Sharmin Sehgal, who happens to stay in the same building that houses Bhansali’s office.

Bollywoodhungama.com quoted a source from Bhanali’s team as saying, “Janhvi and Khushi didn’t visit Sanjay Bhansali. They visited Sanjay Bhansali’s niece Sharmin Sehgal who is Janhvi Kapoor’s best friend. Sharmin lives with her sister Simran and parents Bella Bhansali Segal (Sanjay’s sister) and Deepak Segal in the same building where Sanjay Bhansali has his office. The papparazi saw her emerge from that building and concluded the obvious.”

While we might not see Janhvi in a Bhansali film any time soon, she is set to make her film debut in Dharma Productions’ Dhadak.
