Actress Rukmini Maitra is poised to replace Mimi Chakraborty as the leading lady in Dev Entertainment Ventures’ upcoming film Hoichoi Unlimited.

Dev Adhikari and Maitra, who are a real-life couple, were recently seen together in Aniket Chattopadhyay’s thriller Kabir.

Directed by the same filmmaker, Hoichoi Unlimited is an entertaining comedy featuring an ensemble cast of Adhikari, Saswata Chatterjee, Sudipta Chakraborty, Koneenica Banerjee, Priyanka Sarkar, Pooja Bose and Kharaj Mukherjee.

Maitra will play the role of a rich industrialist’s daughter while Adhikari will play her husband who stays at her place after marriage.

"Rukmini had earlier said she was not doing the film, but the cast underwent a change recently," a source close to the film's unit told the Calcutta Times supplement of The Times of India newspaper. "The Dev-Rukmini pair is fast gaining popularity and the two want to continue doing films together."

A part of the film is to be shot at various locations in Uzbekistan, where the husband and wife go for a vacation.

However, director Chattopadhyay brushed aside the speculation, saying, “I am yet to learn about this decision.”
