Food, dance and some nature love mark Priyanka Chopra's trip to Assam for tourism campaign


The actress is currently filming for a tourism campaign for Assam in the national forest of Kaziranga.

Actress Priyanka Chopra is never far away from work, even when she is having fun. The actress, who is the brand ambassador for Assam tourism, is currently shooting for an ad campaign in the state. Having arrived in India yesterday, Chopra left for Kaziranga National Park to shoot for an advertisement. 

The Awesome Assam campaign for Assam tourism saw the actress shoot in the state for two days, Sunday and Monday. The actress arrived in the resort town of Jorhat and shot beside the famous 150-year old Banyan tree in the town. 

Regardless of the professional nature of her trip, Chopra certainly seems to be enjoying her time. The actress shared several small snippets of her trip through Assam on her Instagram stories. It soon found its way to social media. 

Ever the foodie, the actress even put her diet to the side as she indulged in a full Assamese thali for lunch at the Kaziranga National Park. 'My favourite part...Food!', Chopra wrote on her post. 

Naturally, as part of the tourism campaign, the actress posed on top of an elephant. The actress even appeared to have made a close friend with the elephant during the shoot, as she looked completely at ease riding it. 

The actress even posted a touching picture of herself sharing a quiet moment with her elephantine companion during the trip. 

Needless to say, the Quantico star was surrounded by crowds where she went. True to her role as tourism ambassador, the actress decided to indulge in the local culture trying out the dance steps, and hanging out with the locals before the shoot. 

Chopra is currently awaiting the opening of her next season of Quantico, and also has Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat, where she will share the screen with actor Salman Khan coming up this year.
