Yet another member from actor Suriya's family has entered the Tamil film industry. Brindha Sivakumar, the only sister of actors Suriya and Karthi Sivakumar has turned a singer with the film Mr Chandramouli, which features the father-son duo of Karthik and Gautham Karthik in the lead.

At the launch of the audio of the film, producer Dhananjayan and director Thiru announced that Brindha had officially entered Kollywood by singing a song for the film.

Both Suriya and Karthi were there to congratulate their sister on the occasion.

Karthi also put out a tweet, wishing her the best.

He said, "I've always only made fun of my sister like a true brother. But today am so happy for her. She is officially a singer. Big thanks to @Dhananjayang @SamCSmusic for making it so special. Best wishes for #Chandramouli to be a huge success!"

Their father, actor Sivakumar, could not make it to the audio launch. However, Sivakumar sent a message congratulating his daughter in which he said that he had been hearing her sing from the time she was a small kid.

"I have asked you to sing 'Porale Ponnuthaayi...' several times. Each time, that number in your voice has moved me to tears and then, I have gone to sleep listening to your voice. You can easily find opportunities with your brothers' influence. But what is honourable is the fact that opportunities should come in search of you. I have heard you sing on stage several times but then, no matter how many times I have heard you sing, listening to your voice in a recording like this is thrilling. You have pronounced the words right and the music has not overlapped your voice. My best wishes to producer Dhananjayan and music director Sam CS."
