The 'Guptodhon History Rap' song composed by Bickram Ghosh for Dhrubo Banerjee’s upcoming film Guptodhoner Sandhane was released a few days before the film is scheduled to hit the big screens (27 April). And the song has generated new interest for the film.

Ghosh, who has composed the songs and the background score of the film, for the first time, has also sung this song. The music video that has a few intriguing sequences from the film and some neat animation, also features Ghosh rapping the peppy number in a studio.

"SVF and I go way back in 2015 when I did the background score and music for one of their films. This is the first time I have sung, not even sung, rapped that too with SVF only! I am keen to hear the reactions of 'Guptodhon History Rap'. Maybe I will even consider singing more numbers in the future,” exclaimed an excited Ghosh.

The edgy track, which borrows elements from Bengali rhymes, attempts to evoke suspense with its minimalistic music and the emphasis on rhythm.

The lyrics hint at the adventure that protagonists Sona da, Abir and Jhinuk, played by Abir Chatterjee, Arjun Chakraborty and Ishaa Saha respectively, experience while on their quest for the hidden treasure in Bengal.

The story turns fascinating as Sona da and his accomplices soon realise that the treasure is not only under the soil, but is also present in the literature, folk art, music and diverse stories of the state. In their hunt, the biggest obstacle is another man (Rajatava Datta) who is in search of the treasure too and can resort to evil means to attain it.

The story unfolds as the undaunted trio continue with their hunt for the prized goal despite all the hurdles, created to stop them.

The film is special on one more count. It has three eminent directors of Bengali cinema, Goutam Ghose, Arindam Sil and Kamaleswar Mukherjee, playing distinguished characters.
