The film, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Sonali Kulkarni and directed by Sudip Bandyopadhyay, looks like an easy-breezy watch.
Hope Aur Hum trailer: Simple, sweet story of a family's journey
Mumbai - 24 Apr 2018 12:58 IST
Director Sudip Bandyopadhyay's film Hope Aur Hum revolves around Mumbai's Shrivastav family, with each member on their personal journey, even as their lives are entwined with each other.
The family's senior-most member, played by Naseeruddin Shah, seems to be obsessed with an old copy machine. His daughter-in-law (Sonali Kulkarni) is trying her best to take care of the family and his younger son (Kabir Sajid) is entangled in a tricky love story.
While his little grandson is dealing with his own little demons as he suddenly quits playing his favourite game, cricket, his older son and Kulkarni's husband (Naveen Kasturia) feels everything is going to be just fine.
The trailer gives us a glimpse into the light-hearted family drama and has each of the characters — from the oldest to youngest — dealing with situations in their own ways, and influencing each other in the process. So far it looks like an endearing story.
Produced by Samira Bandyopadhyay, Hope Aur Hum is slated to be released on 11 May.
