Despite getting positive reviews, Blackmail, starring Irrfan Khan, has failed to get going at the box office. The dark comedy could only make Rs14.55 crore nett in its first week, as reported by boxofficeindia.com.
The film had a decent Rs9.85 crore nett in its opening weekend but the earnings dropped over the week, barely making Rs5 crore nett during that week.
Blackmail released in over 1,500 screens in India and is made at an estimated budget of Rs20 crore.
Menwhile, Tiger Shroff's Baaghi is on its way to be a blockbuster, inching closer to the Rs150 crore nett mark. The action film made Rs32.55 crore nett in its second week to take its India business to Rs143.31 crore nett.
Baaghi is made at an estimated budget of Rs60 crore and was released across 3,400 screens in India.
