Amitabh Bachchan has often spoken about India’s image being tarnished by rising sexual crime. And there is no bigger crime than child sex abuse. The veteran has now joined Nobel laureate and social worker Kailash Satyarthi in fighting this menace. Bachchan has joined the Bharat Yatra campaign, a movement to save India's children from sex abuse.

The campaign hashtag Bachchan4Bachpan soon started trending on social media. The veteran also posted a heartfelt video urging citizens to join him in this fight.

"Millions of children are victims of sex abuse. They are kidnapped, sold. These children are our future. We need to free our future from the shackles of the black age of exploitation. Kailash Satyarthiji has waged a war against child sex abuse. Please join the movement. We need to fulfil our responsibilities, give our children freedom from fear, from exploitation,” the actor says in the video. Watch:
