Kamal Haasan not to participate in Communists' Conference
Chennai - 13 Sep 2017 18:12 IST
Actor Kamal Haasan, who has been very vocal about his thoughts on the social and political developments in the state and the country in recent times, has clarified that he will not be participating in the Communists' Conference that is to be held on 16 September.
A few reports were making rounds claiming that the actor-director-producer would be participating in the conference in Calicut. However, Haasan took to Twitter to bring the issue to a rest.
"Embarrassing. Was not asked for Calicut meeting with Kerala CM. I am at Bigg Boss all saturdays till October. Best wishes for the function," he tweeted.

Haasan's clarification comes at a time when rumours are rife that the actor is about to float his own political party by the end of this month or early next month.
Earlier, analysts and experts were speculating whether he would join the communists, if at all he joins politics, the reason being the actor's recent visit to the Kerala Chief Minister's residence on the occasion of Onam.
However, so far there has been no official word from Haasan on his joining politics, although the actor has been dropping hints suggesting that he was very much inclined to enter politics.
