The film, starring Sachin Khedekar, marks the debut of theatre personality Nipun Dharmadhikari as film director.
The first two teasers of Nipun Dharmadhikari’s Baapjanma gave an idea that the film is based on a lonely retired man and his efforts to get back in touch with his two children.
The trailer of the film, staring Sachin Khedekar in the lead, shows that it is much more than that. Baapjanma promises to be an emotional ride about a man’s haunting past. The story also seems to go back and forth between the past and future, as there are visuals of Khedekar and his late wife with their young kids.
In between the serious scenes, the film seems to have bits of humour, especially through the characters of the servant (Pushkaraj Chirputkar) and the dog Tiger. Khedekar’s comic timing is also noticeable here.
However, what surprises you is the crime angle in the end, which you surely aren't prepared for. Needless to say, the trailer leaves you eager to know the exact mission of the protagonist.
Nipun Dharmadhikari is known for his work in the theatre in Pune. Baapjanma marks his debut as a film director and is based on his own play with the same name.
Baapjanma is all set to be released on 29 September.
