While the trailer captures the idyllic spots in Hampi, director Prakash Kunte manages to create a template that is not very different to Imtiaz Ali's iconic style.

Imtiaz Ali is not the only director capable of creating a love story on the road. Director Prakash Kunte attempts to do the same in his upcoming feature, Hampi. The film's trailer released on Monday, 30 October. The lead actors in the film are Sonalee Kulkarni, Prajakta Mali and Lalit Prabhakar.

The film's trailer revolves around the journey of Isha (Sonalee Kulkarni), a young traveller on a holiday to Hampi. It is here that she comes across the wandering hipster, Kabir (Lalit Prabhakar).

Prajakta Mali plays Girija, Isha's confidante, and the third member on the crew to Hampi. As the realist in Isha comes across the optimist of Kabir, there emerges a completely different story.

Priyadarshan Jadhav, who plays a friendly auto-rickshaw driver, adds to the very motley crew. Despite the joie de vivre of the trailer, there is an underlining sadness that emerges towards the end of the trailer.

The trailer for Hampi is filled with some sparkling banter, humour, and a very likeable chemistry between the lead pair.

Prabhakar looks interesting as the hipster-ish Kabir, while Kulkarni seems to have added another fascinating character to her filmography. The trailer also captures the very idyllic spots in Hampi, and director Kunte manages to create a template that is not very different to Imtiaz Ali's iconic style.

Hampi is set to be released on 17 November.
