Two of the closest friends in the Tamil film industry, director Gokul and actor Vijay Sethupathi have begun work on their next film together.
The film, titled Junga, is being shot in Paris, where the team has camped at the moment.
What is interesting is that it was on the same day, four years ago, that Gokul and Vijay Sethupathi's first film together, Itharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, hit the screens. The film went on to become a superhit.
Sources close to the unit of Junga say that the team is to shoot in the European nation for a period of 30 days. The film will have music by Siddharth Vipin, who was also a part of Itharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara.
Sayyeshaa Saigal, who made her debut in Tamil with Vanamagan (2017), plays the female lead in the film, which sources claim, will be Sethupathi's biggest film in terms of budget.
While Sethupathi chose to produce the film under his own home banner, sources say the film's rights have already been bought by A & P Groups for a fancy price. This information has triggered interest in the film for until now films starring Rajinikanth have so far been known to be sold on the day of the film's pooja itself.
Junga too features a big star cast including Yogi Babu, who is fast emerging as the most preferred comedian in Tamil cinema.
