Director Sajid Khan, who has been out of action for some time now, has returned to the directorial seat with Housefull 4. Like the first three movies, this too will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

Housefull 4 will be released during the 2019 Diwali period, as revealed by the makers in an official statement.

When Cinestaan.com texted him for a reaction on his return to the franchise, Khan expressed his happiness with a smiley.

All three films revolved around the theme of comedy born out of confusion and lies. But there is a big twist in Housefull 4. According to the makers, the fourth film will be based on the theme of reincarnation, which comes as a surprise.

In all three films so far, the casting of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Boman Irani and Chunkey Pandey has been constant. The cast for the fourth has not been revealed yet. The female cast has always changed with every film.

Khan had helmed the first two films of the franchise, which released in 2010 and 2012. But the producers roped in director duo Farhad-Sajid for Housefull 3 (2016). After Housefull 2, Khan directed Himmatwala (2013) and Humshakals (2014), which didn’t do well at the box office.
