Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again has passed the difficult Monday test and managed to hold on well despite it being a working day. The film, starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Parineeti Chopra, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Tusshar Kapoor and Arshad Warsi, earned Rs15.75 crore on the day, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com. The film's total earnings have reached about Rs103.75 crore nett.

Golmaal Again was made on a budget of around Rs130 crore (including prints and advertising). The film is expected to reach that number soon. The Rohit Shetty film had earned Rs87.10 crore on its opening weekend.

On the other hand, the Aamir Khan-produced Secret Superstar, which was also released last week, saw a fall in collections on Monday. The film managed only Rs3 crore nett approximately. A drop is always expected on the first working day. But it was more than normal on this occasion.

The subject of the film is such that it caters more to an urban audience. But, as per BoxOfficeIndia, the film hasn’t performed as well in the metros as it was expected to.

The film, starring Zaira Wasim, was reportedly made at a budget of Rs23 crore (excluding Khan's fees). It has so far made Rs33.75 crore.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Secret Superstar has received positive reviews and word-of-mouth. The good thing for the film is that there are no major Hindi films being released on Friday.
