Ajay Devgn's latest Golmaal Again might be dazzling theatres across the country, but the actor has already set his sights on his next production. In an interview to PTI, the actor revealed that he is in talks with director Nishikant Kamat to produce a remake of the National award winning Tamil film, Jigarthanda (2014).

Speaking to PTI, the actor said, "I am producing the film and we are working on the script. It will start in January-February. It is inspired from Tamil film 'Jigarthanda' (released in 2014). It is a fabulous story. It is not going to be an exact copy of the film, we will change things. But at the same time, quite a lot of stuff will be similar."

Jigarthanda (2014) starred Siddharth and Bobby Simha, was a black comedy about a wannabe director trailing a deadly gangster for a film plot. Eventually, he ends up directing the gangster in a film about his own life. The film was directed by Karthik Subbaraj and won two National Film awards for Best Supporting Actor (Bobby Simha) and Best Editing (Vivek Harshan).

Devgn's production will see Farhan Akhtar take on the role played by Siddharth, while Sanjay Dutt is expected to play the gangster. Devgn said, "I was too occupied with work and I felt Farhan and Sanjay were apt for the film. It is true that Farhan plays an assistant director and Sanjay a gangster. This premise will be the same in terms of their role."

The actor is also involved in the making of a historical in the form of Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and Sons Of Sardaar, on the epic World War I battle of Saragarhi.
