If the film does well, Tumhari Sulu will be Vidya’s first movie after Kahaani (2012) to not fail at the box office. The actress has had a series of non-performing films since then.

The week also saw the release of films Aksar 2 and Panchlait. The former had low collections, earning only Rs1.65 crore in the first three days, while the latter has been a washout.
