A decade and more ago, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan were considered rivals. There were even reports of a cold war between the two superstars.

Things have changed a lot over the past few years and the two Khans have shown many signs of friendship.

The bonhomie continues, with Aamir Khan set to be one of the special guests at Shah Rukh Khan’s 52nd birthday bash tonight. The news was shared by none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself while speaking to reporters at his birthday event in Mumbai.

Aamir Khan initially planned to visit Shah Rukh's bungalow Mannat at Bandra (West) but could not get through owing to the huge crowd of fans gathered there. “Some friends, Aamir and all, wanted to come over to my house. [But] they couldn’t come there,” Shah Rukh said. “Aamir wanted to come here [to the event venue]. I told him you all [the media] are here. But he said he would come. So he may drop in. I told him to come late when everything cools down."

Asked about his birthday wish, Shah Rukh Khan said, “When you reach this age, all you want is that your children should be healthy. To be honest, my way of thinking and my sentiments have changed in these years.”

The Raees (2017) actor also revealed how his youngest son AbRam wished him. “He told me, ‘Happy birthday, birthday boy’,” the delighted Khan said.

He then cut a chocolate cake in the presence of the media. Like every year, thousands thronged outside Mannat and also outside the venue where the event took place.
