The beautiful teaser, leaves us all the more confused as to why the I&B ministry decided to drop the promising film from being screened at IFFI 2017.

Director Ravi Jadhav’s Marathi film Nude has been in the news for the wrong reasons. The film was selected to open the Indian Panorama section at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which will be held in Goa from 20-28 November. Nude was replaced by Vinod Kapri's Hindi film, Pihu, by the information and broadcasting ministry.
Malayalam film, S Durga, by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan — earlier titled Sexy Durga — too was removed from the line-up.
The teaser of Nude has been released. It looks like an artistically captured journey of a woman (Kalyanee Mulay) who, after migrating to Mumbai, makes a living as a nude model.
The 1 minute 39 seconds teaser is impressive visually. The scene where the protagonist watches her aunt posing nude for the students of JJ School of Arts, and hurriedly closes the wooden shutters, deserves mention.
The film also features Naseeruddin Shah in the pivotal role of a painter/professor. His dialogue at the end of the teaser, "Clothes are for the body and not the soul" makes up the gist of the film.
The background score plays a large role in setting the mood of the film.
The beautiful teaser leaves us all the more confused as to why the ministry decided to drop the promising film from being screened at IFFI 2017.
