Nawazuddin Siddiqui's run of films this year just got longer. The actor's next, Amit Kumar's Monsoon Shootout, is set to be released on 15 December. The latest poster from the film has the actor's sneering profile looming large.
Monsoon Shootout is a crime thriller directed by Kumar and produced by Guneet Monga, Anurag Kashyap, Arun Rangachari and Vivek Rangachari. The film stars Siddiqui, Vijay Varma, Neeraj Kabi and Tannishtha Chatterjee in the primary roles. The film was premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and even earned a nomination for Kumar under the Golden Camera category.
The poster features Siddiqui looking every bit like the murderer. The skinhead look is only accentuated by the scarred profile, with a stitched gash running across the side of his forehead. Varma plays the rookie police inspector on the trail of Siddiqui's character of a murdering thief.
Monsoon Shootout is presented by Moving Pictures and produced by Sikhya Entertainment.
