While the director was not too keen on revealing any details about the film, or its title, he said, "It is in very early stages. All I can tell you is that this is a film script I have been working on for a while. We have just finished only the second draft. There are at least three or four more drafts to go."

Chaubey is working on the script along with Udta Punjab writer Sudip Sharma. As for the cast, Chaubey confirmed that Rajput is on board for the film. Admitting that he has been impressed with the actor's recent work, he said, "I have apporached Sushant (Singh Rajput) because I really like him as an actor. He has been doing some good work lately."

"I approached him and told him the story. I was surprised and pleasantly so, that he came on board. By the looks of it, he is going to do the film," Chaubey said.
