International spy seems to be the hottest job in Tamil cinema right now. The teaser to S Siva's much awaited Vivegam was released yesterday night, and features Ajith Kumar front and centre. The teaser was released early morning today, and quickly hit the top of Twitter trends.
The teaser of the film, which features Kajal Aggarwal, Kamal Haasan's younger daughter Akshara Haasan and Vivek Oberoi, among others, was released at a minute past midnight.
The film, which is being directed by Siva, will be an action entertainer. The film has been shot in a number of European countries, including Bulgaria and Slovenia. In fact, sources suggest that a particular part of the film has been shot at a military base in an Eastern European nation, a rare feat.
The 57-second teaser features some slick action scenes from the film with Ajith saying, 'Even if this entire world opposes you; Even if all situations keep repeatedly emphasising to you that you have lost; until you accept it yourself, no one can defeat you. Never ever give up!"
The actor has already received a lot of praise for undergoing a physical transformation for the role. The actor now looks like a more buff, white haired Tamil George Clooney with six pack abs, and bulging biceps. The physical transformation certainly adds to his presence in the teaser.
The visuals of the teaser look slick, and contain enough graphics to get Ajith fans going. The actor is shown zooming through various locations in Europe, giving it an international feel.
Within hours of the teaser being released, it received over 22 lakh views with a vast number of those giving positive reviews.
The film is his the third collaboration between S Siva and Ajith. The last two films, Veeram (2014), and Vedhalam (2015), proved to be quite successful. Produced by Sathyajoti Films, Vivegam is expected to release in August.
