Machine's latest song is an unimpressive remake of the 90s dance classic,'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast' , from Mohra.
Machine song: Kiara Advani turns on the oomph, but 'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast' does not sizzle

The rain of remakes just doesn't seem to end. The latest in the line of remixed songs to hit the airwaves is from Abbas-Mustan's Machine. Featuring Kiara Advani and Mustafa Burmawalla, the song is a remixed version of the 1990s chartbuster, 'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast' from Rajiv Rai's Mohra (1994). While Advani does her best to match the oomph of Raveena Tandon, the song feels like a complete letdown.
The voices of Udit Narayan and Neha Kakkar add some punch to the song. Narayan was also a part of the original version and does his best to give it a go. Despite it being a remake, the song departs completely from the original in its lyrics. Other than the trademark refrain of 'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast', the song has a completely new feel to it. Kakkar's delivers the verses with aplomb, but the ordinary music lets it down. Thankfully, there are no 'rap' verses that clash with Anand Bakshi's lyrics. In all, Tanishk Bagchi's upgrade does not feel like one. The song lacks impact and might prove disappointing for fans eagerly awaiting the rework of the classic.
Considering the makers of the film paid only 'Rs 101' for the song, it might not prove a costly loss. However, they might as well have let the cult hit be.
Advani does justice to the song by bringing in some zest and oomph. While the actress looks quite stunning, Mustafa finds it a little tough to match it. The debutant might need to step up his dancing skills. The song has been shot quite well but does not have the same 'bling' that set the original apart.
Machine is set to release in theatres on 17 March.
