Sonam Kapoor is not someone who take things lying down and is known to give it back to the media every once in a while. She did that yet again after some publications took a dig at her outfit at an event held on Friday. While some reports claimed that she was uncomfortable, another report even called it "peek-a-boo(b)" in their report.

Sonam attended the event wearing a black cropped jumpsuit which had ruffles around her neckline, designed by Russian fashion house Rosario Atelier. The dress had a deep neckline and was open on the side, showing off some extra skin.

Sonam is known for her great style sense, but most publications were in agreement that this outfit just wasn't the right fashion choice. While constructive criticism is always welcome, what offended Sonam was that the photographers went out of their way to click unflattering pictures that revealed her side boob. Some top publications carried reports mentioning that the Neerja actress didn’t look comfortable in the outfit.

What followed was trolls having a great time at Kapoor's expense.

This didn’t go down well with Sonam. She shot back at the publications on Twitter. By quote tweeting one publication and tagging two others, she said, “Dear @mid_day @MumbaiMirror I was very comfortable in my outfit. I said a lot of pertinent things, but obv you guys rather report this!.” She quote tweeted another online publication by only putting three shocked emojis.

Responding to one of her followers, who supported her, Sonam claimed that the photographers specifically took pictures from certain angles. She said, “sexist nonsense. The photogs went out of their way to take these pics.. and frankly I don't give a damn,I'm proud of my body!”

Soon, she also found support from fellow actress Bhumi Pednekar who said, “@sonamakapoor you look hot AF.More power to you.” Sonam took a dig at the writers of these news reports saying, “Thanks Bhooms.. I felt hot as fuck! I hope it wasn't a women writing these headlines..” Soon, actress Sophie Chowdry too chipped in with encouraging words, saying it's her body, therefore her choice to dress as she wants.

Sonam basically meant that wearing the edgy outfit was her choice and while the fashion police have the right to criticise her, she won't take being shamed for it lying down. Get it, trolls?
