In an unfortunate incident, Sanjay Dutt’s security guards allegedly roughed up media persons in Agra where the actor is currently shooting his comeback film, Bhoomi. The media people were reportedly clicking the traffic, which they claim to have been halted because of the shoot.
The incident took place on VIP Road, which leads to the Taj Mahal. There are reports about injuries to some media persons.
Video footage of the incident has appeared on the internet where one can see cops and security personnel trying to control the crowd. In another video, Dutt himself can be seen profusely apologising to the media following the incident. The video ends after both parties decide to sort out the matter behind doors.
However, an FIR (First Information Report) has been filed against the actor following the incident by a journalist named Ajay Kumar. He has claimed to have been injured on his head and chest.
As per reports, as the shoot was taking place near the Taj Mahal, a large number of tourists too thronged the place, along with locals, to have a glimpse of the star. As the situation went out of control, the security and cops allegedly used violent means through sticks to clear the crowd. This reportedly resulted in injuries to few media persons.
This is the second time that the shoot of Bhoomi has faced trouble due to the crowd. Just a few days back, the shoot was halted after the crowd was uncontrollable. A source from the film unit was quoted by a publication saying that they hadn’t expected such a situation since they had beefed up security and deployed the police force as well.
Bhoomi is Dutt’s comeback film after he completed his jail sentence last year. The film is directed by Omung Kumar [of Mary Kom (2014) and Sarbjeet (2016) fame] and it also stars Aditi Rao Hydari.
