Shreya Ghoshal at her finest in Naam Shabana song 'Rozana'

Naam Shabana's first song has the mesmerising Ghoshal play the voice of the somewhat sad looking Taapsee Pannu's Shabana.

Naam Shabana's trailer carried enough punch to wake fans up to the new action heroine on the block. Yet, the film's first song 'Rozana' is a complete departure from its explosive action trailer. Sung by Shreya Ghoshal, the song is a beautiful melody that highlights the little joys in Taapsee Pannu's character, Shabana.

Ghoshal's voice brings a mesmerising touch to the song, with a perfect balance of happiness and contentment. The lyrics by Manoj Muntashir offer a simple, but beautiful expression of wanting to be loved. Rochak Kohli's music is well balanced and emphasises the sweet notes of Ghoshal's voice. The song is featured on Pannu and Taher Mithalwala's characters. Pannu's expressions add to the emotional quotient of the song. The actress looks in fine form as she plays a troubled girl hoping for some happiness in love.

Naam Shabana is directed by Shivam Nair and written by Neeraj Pandey. The film stars Pannu, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpayee and Danny Denzongpa in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for release on 31 March.
