Shraddha Kapoor has seen her share of ups and downs in her career so far. But she has been a part of some hit and memorable songs. On her 30th birthday today (3 March), here are six hit numbers featuring the bubbly actress, who is also the daughter of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor.
1. Tum Hi Ho – Aashiqui 2 (2013)
Aashiqui 2 was the turning point in Shraddha's career. The film's music played a large role in its success. Although every song in the album was impressive, 'Tum Hi Ho' stands out as a pleasurable romantic number. One can't deny Arijit Singh's magical voice that brought about the overall effect.
2. Chahoon Main Ya Na – Aashiqui 2 (2013)
As Aashiqui 2 was one of the rare albums that scored in every song, it would be unfair to list only one song from it. 'Chahoon Main Ya Na' is a simple and sweet melodious number that helped in building Shraddha and Aditya Roy Kapur's relationship in the film. Singh and Palak Muchhal's audio chemistry stands out.
3. Galliyan – Ek Villain (2014)
Ankit Tiwari sang the popular version of 'Galliyan.' But Shraddha too sang the female version, which was unplugged. This song displayed her melodious vocal chords to the audience. The fact that it was unplugged added to its goodness. Ek Villain was yet another musical hit from Shraddha-Mohit Suri combination.
4. Bezubaan Phir Se – ABCD 2 (2015)
Any Body Can Dance (2013) had an impressive number 'Bezubaan Kab Se.' For its sequel, ABCD 2 (2015), the song was remade as 'Bezubaan Phir Se.' The track alternated soothing parts with fast-paced beats which give the dance number a thrilling quality. It's a three-singer track by Anushka Manchanda, Vishal Dadlani and Madhav Krishna.
5. Chham Chham – Baaghi (2016)
Shraddha got to showcase her carefree avatar in this song. The audio matches the carefree nature of the scene in the film when the actress breaks into an impromptu dance on a railway platform. Monali Thakur's energetic rendition is well supported by Meet Bros.
6. Ok Jaanu – OK Jaanu (2017)
OK Jaanu was about a young couple free of commitments. The title song of the film not only defined the theme, but also the characters of Shraddha and Roy Kapur. As expected from someone like AR Rahman, he put his heart into it. Shrinidhi Venkatesh also left her mark.
