The Udta Punjab actor takes a dig at Ranaut for her comments against him during the promotions of Rangoon.
Shahid Kapoor: It will be good if Kangana gets along with her co-stars

Kangana Ranaut has been in the news constantly over the last month or so and this has very little to do with her work. Her comments against Karan Johar on his show Koffee With Karan didn’t go down well with the latter. He severely lashed out at the actress a few days later, to which she wrote a long article against him in a tabloid.
Now, it is Shahid Kapoor’s turn to get back at her for what she had said about him during the promotions of their film, Rangoon. While promoting the film, Ranaut had said, “Sharing a cottage with Shahid was a nightmare.” The Haider actor was quick to respond with, “She has a vivid imagination.” The Queen actress fought back with, “He borrowed that line from Hrithik.”
Speaking to a publication, Kapoor has reacted to Ranaut's comments. “Kangana has a thing for one-liners. I’m not one of those. I’d rather focus on the movie. I like positivity. We shared a professional equation. So, I was also surprised by the comments. I also read some retractions she made later that she didn’t mean it in a bad way,” he said.
Kapoor also indirectly criticised Ranaut for constantly taking a dig at her enemies. “When actors start engaging in this table-tennis match through interviews, which the media feeds off, the focus is then on the actors and not the film. I don’t believe in publicising a film or myself through this kind of activity. With all due respect, I had a good time doing the film,” he added.
But he also wished her good luck, which appears sarcastic. “I’ve been working for 14 years and I’ve had no problems with anyone. I choose not to discuss my problems in print. Some discretion is welcome. I’d choose to say that I wish her all the best. I hope she gets along with some co-stars. It will be good,” he signed off.
A few weeks ago, Shekhar Suman came down heavily on Ranaut by making fun of her on Twitter after her film Rangoon crashed at the box office. His son, Adhyayan Suman, was once in a relationship with the actress, who had allegedly harassed him.
