The director gave a Bharatnatyam performance at the United Nations in New York on the occasion of International Women's Day, except that it wasn't well received by fans or Bharatnatyam lovers.
Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya Dhanush's performance at the UN gets trolled online

Aishwarya R Dhanush's Bharatnatyam performance at the United Nations on the occasion of International Women's Day has been a flop, to say the least. The director-producer put on a performance in front of UN diplomats and several prominent leaders from India. However, the performance did not go down too well.
The daughter of Rajinikanth, Aishwarya was appointed as India's ambassador to the United Nations for Gender Equality in 2016. Trained in Bharatnatyam, the news of her being invited to perform at the prestigious event earned her much praise. However, the videos of the performance doing the rounds on the internet did not justify that praise.
Performing a ballad 'Bho Shambho' in honour of Lord Nataraja, the god of dance, Aishwarya earned much rebuke for her amateurish performance. Seeing how this was the first time a celebrity dancer from Tamil Nadu was invited to give a performance, many questioned why there wasn't a better choice. Incidentally, Aishwarya was also presented with the prestigious Kalaimamani award for dance by the Tamil Nadu government in 2012. Twitter erupted with several mocking reviews about the director's performance.
Well, even Rajinikanth can't save this one.
