The actors started shooting for Tarun Mansukhani's Drive, even as Karan Johar called it 'the beginning of a franchise'.

Sushant Singh Rajput has joined Jacqueline Fernandez on the sets for Tarun Mansukhani's Drive. Produced by Dharma Productions, the film will also mark the return of director Tarun Mansukhani after a hiatus of nine years.

Producer-director Karan Johar tweeted an image of the lead pair of Drive posing for the first shot of the film.

Posing alongside a Lamborghini (we assume), Rajput and Fernandez look quite the pair. But it is Johar's tweet that has piqued the interest of fans. 'The Franchise Fun begins...' is what Johar wrote on his tweet, suggesting that this might be one of a series of films in a franchise.

Considering that Yash Raj has found success with Dhoom, a racer franchise, it is quite possible that Dharma now seeks to enter the action zone with its own version. The return of Mansukhani also spells good news for the production. The last collaboration of Dharma and ansukhani was the hit Dostana (2008).

Now, it remains to be seen if Rajput and Fernandez's Drive can get pulses racing as fast as their cars will.
