Apart from being a fine actor, Irrfan Khan has never shied away from paying respect to the yesteryear stars who influenced him in his early days.

The Hindi Medium actor has been posting pictures from his early days that were inspired by yesteryear stars or films. The one that caught our attention is Khan's undying love for 1980s star Mithun Chakraborty, often described as the disco king of India.

Khan was so much in awe of Chakraborty that he used to sport a hairdo like Chakraborty. The Hindi Medium actor shared this picture on his Instagram account.

"I wanted my hair to be like #MithunChakraborty, so I used to go to a barber shop and tell them ke mere baal seedhe kar do …. because my hair were curly and kind of stiff .. Aur kya hota tha ke first day my hair would look good .. just like Mithun’ss, but after that they would turn into a bird’s nest (sic)," Khan wrote in his post.

In another #FilmyInfluence post, Khan shared a picture from his childhood wherein he and another boy, tried to imitate the iconic Jai-Veeru jodi (played by Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra) of Sholay (1975).
