Actress and cancer survivor Lisa Ray had to undergo emergency surgery to remove her appendix.
Ray, whose film Dobaara: See Your Evil was released on Friday, was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital after complaining of pain in the abdomen.
She tweeted about the emergency surgery and assured fans she was doing well, thanking the doctors and nurses.

As soon as Ray posted these tweets, her Twitter handle was flooded with get-well-soon messages.
Back in 2009, Ray was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the white blood cells which produce antibodies. It is a rare disease.
In April 2010, she announced that she was cancer-free after a stem cell transplant.
