Ayushmann Khurrana begins filming Sriram Raghavan's Shoot The Piano Player

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana started shooting for his latest film in Pune on 18 June. Titled Shoot The Piano Player, the film is directed by Sriram Raghavan. While everyone was busy watching India versus Pakistan in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy, the two were hard at work with their upcoming project.
Khurrana shared the first working still from the sets of Shoot The Piano Player in Pune on his Instagram page and wrote, “I missed the match. But started something really exciting. Great day at office on day 1 in Pune. Sriram Raghavan's Shoot The Piano Player. #ShootBegins”
Khurrana can be seen seated at a piano while a clapboard in the foreground which reveals that the film is a joint co-production of Matchbox Pictures and Viacom 18. An adorable black and white kitten is photobombing the entire shot in the background.
Besides Khurrana, actresses Tabu and Radhika Apte are also a part of the cast and will join the shoot later this week. Apte worked with directed Raghavan last in Badlapur (2015). Other regulars Vinay Pathak and Ashwini Kalsekar who were in Johnny Gaddaar (2007) and Badlapur are also part of the film.
Music composer Amit Trivedi will be collaborating with the filmmaker for the first time in this thriller musical. Cinematographer KU Mohanan, a former batchmate of Raghavan’s from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), is also a part of the project.
A release date for Shoot The Piano Player has not yet been finalised.
