Actor Siva Karthikeyan has already begun work on his next film. The actor, who is currently among the most sought after actors in the Tamil film industry, has begun work on a film with director Ponram.

This is the third time that the actor and director are working together. It may be recalled that the first two films that the duo worked on, namely Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam (2013) and Rajini Murugan (2016). Both films went on to become super hits.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be playing the female lead in this film, produced by RD Raja, another one of Siva Karthikeyan’s favoured producers.

Interestingly, while Siva Karthikeyan will be working with Samantha for the first time in this yet to be titled project, it is his third project with Raja. His first film with Raja, Remo (2016), went on to become a hit and his upcoming  film Velaikaran (2017), which is being directed by Mohan Raja is also scheduled for release on September 29.

Sources say that the film will feature yesteryear actress Simran, and DMK MP and actor Napoleon in important roles. The film is to be shot in Ambasamudram, Thenkasi and Theni. Members say that the makers plan to release the film in the summer of 2018.
