Legendary singer Asha Bhosle will join stellar Indian celebrities as her wax figure will be displayed at the upcoming Madame Tussauds Museum in New Delhi.

Other celebrities who have already been sculpted include Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Shreya Ghosal.

"I am thrilled and humbled. Thank you to Madame Tussauds and my fans for considering me for this incredible honour. Having a wax figure is a completely ecstatic feeling and it's a new experience for me. This is the first time I have undergone a sitting and I must thank them for making it a unique and exciting experience. I am excited to see and meet my final figure when the attraction opens. Madame Tussauds is a 'one-of-a-kind' attraction and is a rage across the world and I am looking forward to the launch and opening in Delhi,” Bhosle told Mid-day tabloid.

The said museum will come up at the renovated Regal Cinema, Connaught Place in New Delhi.

In career spanning over six decades, Bhosle claims to have sung over 12,000 songs. In 2011, she was officially acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most recorded artist in music history. The government of India honoured her with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
