Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauds Akshay Kumar's Toilet: Ek Prem Katha

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded Akshay Kumar for spreading the message of a cleaner India through his upcoming film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

From the time he took as over as Prime Minister, Modi has strongly advocated a cleaner India. The government initiated the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Akshay carries forward the message of sanitation in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.  

The makers released the trailer on 11 June and it has recieved a positive response. Modi retweeted Akshay and also appreciated the actor and his film for carrying forward the clean India movement's message.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is love story clogged by the lack of a toilet. In a bid to save his marriage, Keshav (Akshay) must ensure that he installs a toilet not just in his house, but also helps make the basic amenity available to all women in his village.

The film is set to be released on 11 August.
