It's no secret that Varun Dhawan is an ardent admirer of actor and former wrestler Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as The Rock. In the early hours today, Dhawan had a fanboy conversation with Johnson.
Dhawan summed up his Baywatch experience in a short tweet review.
Calling the film "fun in the sand", Dhawan praised Johnson for his sense of humour and called Priyanka Chopra, who plays the antagonist, a true badass. Dhawan even posted a video urging the Indian fans to watch the film.
It didn’t take long for Johnson to reply to Dhawan’s tweet.
Thank you brotha! Me and @priyankachopra talked about how much you (and India) will enjoy the movie. Fun is the key word. #Baywatch ðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂð¾ ð®ð³ https://t.co/MblDsKynjp— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) May 31, 2017

Baywatch marks the debut of Chopra in Hollywood. The film has largely received negative reviews and has failed to get going at the US box office, garnering only $27.7 million since its release on 26 May. The film's budget is pegged at $69 million.
The makers will hope that Chopra’s popularity in India would help the film do better at the Indian box office. Baywatch releases in India on 2 June.
