Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari and Shah Rukh Khan are all set to come together. Well, this is not for a film but for the promotions of SRK’s next, Jab Harry Met Sejal (JHMS), which also stars Anushka Sharma.

This will be Khan's first visit to Benares. After promoting his film in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Punjab this week, his next stop will be the holy city. “The renowned actor will be hosting SRK in Benares and wants to make sure that the city visit becomes memorable for him,” said an official statement from the makers of the film. Khan will also interact with students in the city, “He has plans to interact with college students and touch upon subjects pertaining to the cinema and film making,” said the statement added.

Interestingly, Tiwari had come down heavily on Khan in 2015 over his comments on growing intolerance in the country. “He (Khan) has issued a statement when the Bihar elections are going on. He has always been close to Congress party and his closeness has been seen before as well. I consider his statement as a political comment. If there was any kind of intolerance in the country, he wouldn't have been one of the top superstars in India. He should keep this fact in his mind that whatever statement he makes, it makes a big impact,” Tiwari had said.

Tiwari is currently also the Member of Parliament (MP) for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from North East Delhi constituency.

However, after the incident, Tiwari had agreed to sing the Bhojpuri version of Fan's title track in 2016, the film that had Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.

Earlier this year, the Bhojpuri superstar had criticized the incident of a commoner dying at Baroda railway station during the promotions of Khan’s last film Raees (2017).
