National Award-winning filmmaker Ramsubramaniam, famously known as Ram, announced that his long-delayed Tamil drama Taramani, will be released on 11 August. Andrea Jeremiah and Vasanth will be seen in the lead roles in the film.

The announcement was made on Sunday (23 July) through the film poster. Said to be a moody urban romantic saga, Taramani is jointly produced by Ram and J Sathish Kumar.

According to Ram, the film delves into the numerous dimensions of a male-female relationship in contemporary life. Talking about the film, Ram had told IANS: "The film will be lighthearted and entertaining. Audiences will be able to relate with the characters in the film. While Chennai is commonly considered as north and south Chennai, I'm introducing a third and new Chennai, through this flick as well."
