The 'Do You Speak Cinema?' workshop is aimed at introducing children to the 'language of the moving image'.
Jio MAMI has announced a cinema workshop titled 'Do You Speak Cinema?' for children aged 7 to 10 years. The workshop will be held on 22 July at Essar House, Mahalaxmi, and is designed to introduce children to the 'language of the moving image'. The participants will not only get an opportunity to touch and feel original film strips, but also watch films on a vintage film projector.
The workshop is an extension of the 'Half Ticket' section introduced in 2015 during the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star. In 2016, the section was openend for public screenings, wherein an entire family could watch films under the category.
The registration for the workshop is free, however, the parents/guardians of interested participants need to be members of the MAMI Year-Round Programme.
