Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has issued a legal notice to Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Dr Kumar Vishvas. The AAP leader has been accused of using a poem by Harivanshrai Bachchan without the required permissions.

It all started when Bachchan's fan page shared a video of Dr Vishvas singing the late poet’s famous poem, ‘Need Ka Nirman Phir Phir’, on Twitter. Although his recitation received positive comments from the Twitterati, it didn’t go down well with the actor who felt this is a case of copyright violation.

He replied to the tweet next day announcing that he would take the matter up with his legal team. He tweeted, “this is a copyright infringement .. ! legal will take care of this.” [sic]

Dr Vishvas responded to Bachchan’s tweet last evening. While confirming that he has received a notice from the actor, Dr Vishvas also mocked him by announcing to send a paltry sum of Rs32 that he earned for the recitation. He wrote, “Rcvd appreciation frm all poet's family but Notice frm you Sir. Deleting the Tribute video to Babuji.Sending earned Rs 32 as demanded.Pranam.” [sic]

Although Dr Vishvas agreed to delete the video, it has still not been taken down. The entire affair has generated mixed responses from Twitter users.
