Anushka Sharma is turning out to be quite the creative mastermind in production. Having produced films like NH10 (2015) and Phillauri (2017), the actress will be seen in Pari, a grim thriller, produced jointly by KriArj Entertainment, and her own production house Clean Slate Films. The latest poster of the film captures the actress in an intriguing pose.
The actress tweeted the poster on her social media account on Monday morning. The poster features Sharma lying prone on the ground, surrounded by ghostly waving curtains. While the actress's detached look, accentuated by the dark circles beneath her eyes stand out, it is the other elements that really add to the curiosity of the film.
Dressed in a simple salwar kameez, the actress is shown wearing earphones plugged into a device that looks like a music player. On close observation, one can also spot an abrasion mark on her feet, as though they have been tied up.
The tweet was also accompanied by the revelation that the film will release on 9 February 2018. Pari will be Sharma's third production venture after the success of NH10 and Phillauri.
Talking about the project, the actress had said in a statement: "At Clean Slate Films, we focus on a good, engaging story above all else. With new talent, we get to work on newer ideas and innovative concepts. Pari is a great script, and I have complete faith in Prosit’s (Roy) vision as well as this collaboration with KriArj Entertainment."
Sharma is currently awaiting the release of Imtiaz Ali's Jab Harry Met Sejal, where she plays a Gujarati girl who comes across Shah Rukh Khan's cavalier tour guide on a Europe Tour.
Pari is the directorial debut of Prosit Roy, who was the assistant director of Phillauri. Pari also stars Kahaani (2012) star, Parambrata Chatterjee.
